Wow...Shatz..you said a mouthfull..Your board is all about you..and right now..neopets is something you enjoy..why cant you talk about it on your board..because a select few posters arent interested in seeing it..hell..i go for days without even posting my board..simply because i have nothing to say..but if i were told i couldnt post about what i like..id have to say..get over it..its my board..not anyone else's..so i concur with you shatz..i simply cant beleive there was a ruckus over your individuality...what a shame it came to this.. I sent this topic up the flagpole to see if anybody else was tired of what seemed to be the trend for over half the topics being started to be about neopets.Neopets isnt my cup of tea.I dont mind it being a topic,but it was starting to dominate.

That being said,I take some responsibility for the dominance of np,for if I didnt like it dominating the acrop the way I thought it was I could get off my fingers and start some new topics myself.Starting this topic was a way of telling all of us to sack up and contribute something non np.

I think most of us feed off of shatzys posts,shes the dominate force here.Along with her being the mod she posts the most.She has definate opinions and to be honest I dont know any women like her.I like hearing her point of view,and I like giving mine.

Nihilism?Ive found,in my short life,that when Im feeling the most skeptical about the world,is when I have lots of time to sit around and think.I tend to dwell on defeats and not on more positive things.So I keep myself busy all the time with work and play.I try to be responsible in the workplace and in my relationships with others.

Perhaps dedicating yourself to the positive aspects of your comunity will help you feel better about your surroundings.

i dont think it is so much of anyone hating neo pets or them not liking the posts.. they just miss you and your involvment with the board and its topics and there within. with the amount of time you have given neo pets it seems to have taken away what you gave here. and they resent the lil neo pet for that rather then resenting you as you found something else to occupy your time with. In short they miss you.. the real you. What ever that may be. Hell we have heard about the crazy lady down the street or how your furnace is doing in decades. [img]wink.gif[/img]

but i knew what trampis was doing... hense my
*somewhat* sarcastic and responsible reply initially.

and i guess i could type about some psycho-babble
about how the nihilism/neopets/and pissiness
all came full circle in this thread.... but i'll
spare ya. heh heh...

in short... trampis is right. nihilism tends to
focus on the imperfect, non-constructive aspects
of life.... and while i felt that neopets helped,
the direct attack on my 'therapy' backfired and
made me feel even more useless and non-constuctive.


while i realize that neopets is just an internet
game... i really don't care about it. it is just
something i enjoy a great deal... and pride
myself on playing it the best i can... and sharing
information with those others that also play.

as for community involvement... yes.... i, too,
felt that getting out and involving myself in
some way into the community would be a great
way to end/deter my nihilism... i HAVE been trying
to find a job. its very complicated and disheartening
when you simply can't.

there are many variables i have to consider before
i just jump into a job....

for instance, i'm not going to work at a gas
station... no matter HOW bad i want a job.

sure its conway... but crime doesn't discriminate.


with that said... i'm doing my best.
i realize that my actions in regards to this
thread were over-the-top....
